Gardening Society
The Carnmoney Presbyterian and District Gardening Society was founded in 1963 by Walter Leeburn.
Aim
To bring people together, who have a love of gardening and growing things. It also likes to encourage an interest in gardening among members of the church and people in the Carnmoney area.
Membership
You do not have to be a member of the church, and anyone from the wider community will be made most welcome.
There are 32 members at present, and we always look forward to meeting new recruits!
Organisation
There is a committee of 10, elected at the AGM which takes place in March.
Where
Minor Hall beside the main church building.
When
4th Tuesday of month. Tea is available.
There are guest speakers (garden experts) at the meetings in September, October, November and February.

Special Activities
A plant sale is held in April each year – a contribution is made to the church from funds raised at the sale.
In May there is usually an evening visit to a garden that is open for charity.
In June, a visit (on a Saturday) is organised to a garden (again open for charity), then onwards to a garden centre and tea/coffee.
The Society organises a Christmas party in the minor Hall.
