Pastorates

Pastorates are a key aspect in the life of our church.  A Pastorate is an intergenerational group that exists to enable people to get to know Jesus and become like Him. These groups meet in homes all over Newtownabbey and are attended by between 15 - 30 people.  The evening usually begins with tea and coffee.  A typical night involves: discussion of the teaching given in church, prayer and worship.  A Pastorate is the best way to meet people, get connected to our church and to receive help in your spiritual growth.

These groups frequently host events outside the home, enabling new members to connect in a more social environment.  Cinema nights, ten pin bowling and going for a meal are some of the things that have taken place in the past.

We believe that Pastorates should benefit people who do not know Jesus or have a connection with our church.  Each Pastorate has an outward focus and is pursuing ways to join Jesus in His mission to reach the world.

Pastorates meet during the week that follows the First and Third Sundays of the month.

If you would like to join a Pastorate or you would like more information, then please contact Michael Wylie or Beryl Johnston via the Church Office.
