PRACTICING THE WAY I SUNDAY EVENINGS IN FEBRUARY I 6.30PM

We live in an age when many things are ‘shaping’ who we are. As Christians, we believe that at Creation God formed human beings in His image and likeness. When sin entered the world, we were opened to its deforming and destructive effect. However, with the incarnation and finished work of Christ, God has made a way for us to be re-formed, brought back into conformity with the image of His Son through the transforming work of the Holy Spirit.

Practicing the Way is a ‘Curriculum for Christ-likeness’ that is based around 9 spiritual practices that help us to form our lives in the Way of Jesus. These are: Sabbath—Prayer—Fasting—Solitude—Scripture—Community—Simplicity—Generosity—Hospitality.

Here in Carnmoney, we’re working through each practice over the next few years and throughout February, we’re moving on to the Solitude Practice for two Sunday evenings at 6.30pm on the following dates:

Sunday 4th February

Sunday 18th February

The course is free to attend, so join us and invite others as we consider what it looks like to be with Jesus, to become like Jesus and to do what Jesus did. Additionally, if you’re interested in the course content or in following along with the weekly exercises, there is a free companion resource (accessible via the link below) that will help you as you walk through this practice.
