Prayer is at the heart of who we are as a church.

Here in Carnmoney, we see prayer as being an incredible gift that God has given to us as His people because it provides us with a direct means of communication with Him in every moment - Father, Son & Holy Spirit. In scripture we are called to pray ‘at all times’, ‘without ceasing’, offering up prayers of many kinds to the Lord God (1 Thessalonians 5).

In prayer - which is the language of dependency - we ask for God to form us into the image of Christ, to move in and through our everyday lives & to redeem our land. So as we gather - as we worship - as we witness - as we serve, we pray.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4: 6-7)

PRAYER MINISTRY

During every service of worship, we offer an opportunity to receive prayer ministry. Receiving prayer ministry is a simple, but very formational way, of responding to what the Lord is speaking to you about through His word, through prayer & through worship as we wait on Him. A team of well-trained volunteers are ready & eager to pray with you in a confidential and edifying way and we view this is as a vital ministry in the life of our church.

PRAYER REQUESTS

We also offer prayer more generally anyone in our church or wider community who needs it. Our elders, staff & prayer team would love to pray for you in different ways (anonymously if you’d prefer it). So if you need prayer for anything, please send a message to 07590109699 or email shane.bell@carnmoney.org and we’ll pray over your requests, needs / circumstances.

PRAYER ROOM

At various times throughout the year, we open up our prayer room (located in our church centre) for individual & small group prayer relating to particular prayer initiatives. More recently, this related to our ‘100 Days of Prayer’ initiative where we opened up our prayer room for hour-long slots every Saturday throughout the Autumn period. We’re currently developing our next key prayer initiative, so keep an eye on here and on our social media feeds for more information about our next prayer room openings.
